Slab

• Cement poured today house starting to take shape
• Got to organise a slab party for the weekend to celebrate

Pods

• Waffle pods down boxed up already for the slab to be poured
• Frame in the background ready to go
• Didn't know why the alfresco area wasn't boxed in made a phone call to the builder, he assured me they hadn't forgotten but that it doesn't get done till later down the track something to do with the posts of the alfresco

Launch Pad & Pipe Dreams

• The Pad was cut and house marked out, doesn't look really big when walking around
• Sewerage Treatment plant went in as planned although at 6am in the morning we cancelled the trenching guy for the dispersion pad as we were not happy with the placement as it was off our alfresco and there didn't seem to be any other options
• Trenching guy not real happy he had driven 1 hour from the Gold Coast only to pack up and go back to the Gold Coast
• Dispersion pad now has to be redesigned and must go back through council, won't be done for at least 2 months
  
  

• Pipes in
• Still haven't picked our house colours, roof tiles, windows, gutters etc the pressures on now everything is moving fast
  

Plan of Attack

• Plans where submitted to council on the 14th May 2007
• Plans where approved 6 weeks later and work is already planned to start end of the week
• Finally we have a plan and now it's going to become reality
• House Plan - Four bedrooms (main with ensuite and walk in robe), study, kitchen with walk in pantry, dining, living, vaulted 3m high ceilings in living dining area, rumpus, alfresco, powder room, 3 way main bathroom, laundry and double garage.
